1. INVESTMENTS

Receive 50-100 images/hr in color and b&w with a 25% deposit required to reserve your date. Images delivered in an online gallery where you’re free to download, print, and share however you'd like! No choosing favorites. No extra charges. One blissfully happy you!

*TRAVEL INFO: For >30 miles of Jackson, TN, .50 per mile will need to be paid in cash on session date. For overnight stay, client will be responsible for providing private room, meals, airfare, parking fees, car rental, gas, etc. Side note: I love staying with your friends & family or fun airbnb’s!

2. RESERVE YOUR DATE

Because my dates go fast, I highly suggest you to reserve your wedding date as soon as possible! Only a limited number are left for 2019, as I only do 20 weddings per year. If you'd like to meet first, please book your consultation first in step 2.

3. Book A CONSULTATION

I love to get to know my brides & grooms on a personal level to make sure that we're a match made in heaven! The more details you can provide, the better. I want to share in your excitement and plan something amazing together! We can meet in person at my studio in downtown Jackson or over facetime. Please feel free to bring family so that I can hear everyone's heart behind your wedding day!

4. Engagement Session

After you've paid your deposit, the fun begins! Your engagement session is my favorite part of our time together because it gives you both a chance to be in front of my camera before you get married, which is going to make your wedding day experience feel so smooth, seamless, & comfortable!

This is my gift to you & unfortunately cannot be switched for another session & cannot be done after your wedding day. Bridal or boudoir portraits will be considered a milestone session!

Receive 50-150 images/hr in color + b&w via online gallery. Timeline of 3-4 weeks until delivery. Download, print, & share however you'd like!

5. IMAGE DELIVERY

You can expect to receive your images within 8-12 weeks after the session date. For rush delivery, there is an added charge. Please visit my Client Gallery page to learn every step on how you to download, share, & print your images!

Upon arrival at your getting ready location, please gather wedding details for me to capture while hair & makeup takes place. Don't forget a personalized hanger, family heirlooms, or ring boxes to add a little extra glam! I like to find a momentous backdrop - so I'll take your trinkets to a close by location on the grounds. But don't worry, I'll pop in every so often to capture those fun candid moments of you & your girls getting pampered! Let me know if you plan a champagne toast or portraits in your getting ready robes!

CHOOSE A FIRST LOOK

The "first look" is an intimate moment set up for you & your fiance to see each other before the ceremony. This is the #1 factor that will influence the flow of your day.

If you choose a first look, there's more opportunity to capture family and/or wedding party portraits before the ceremony so we can focus on your married portraits following the ceremony (also allowing less time for guests to wait at the reception). If you choose a more traditional approach, I will focus on first looks down the aisle! A wedding day-of coordinator will be a great asset to help avoid seeing each other at the venue before the ceremony.

FYI - a first look with your bridesmaids or parents are a great addition as well!

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT

the GETTING READY LOCATION

Lighting is the most important factor no matter where you plan on getting ready. Pick a place that has lots of space, light, & minimal clutter (this goes for the guys too)! White walls & light colours work wonders. Have your chair set up in front of a window as you get your makeup & hair done. There's nothing more flattering than the soft, natural light coming in through a window. If you're feeling adventurous, try getting ready outside on a shaded patio or covering.

After I finish the wedding details, I'll capture the end of your hair & makeup details. If the getting ready room lighting is not ideal, I'll steal you & your makeup artist away to snag some great getting ready shots in natural lighting (like the photos shown below).

YOUR WEDDING PARTY

Wedding party portraits usually consist of individual portraits with the bride & her bridesmaids, then group shots of everyone in various poses & backdrops (+ vice versa with the groom). I try to do a mix of formal portraits, some funny (if applicable), as well as detail shots like the florals & individuals of the overall dress. Typically it takes about 30 minutes per group + any time it takes to get to the location. *If you have a first look, you can take full wedding party portraits before the ceremony. This will allow more time for more husband & wife portraits!

THE CEREMONY

If you're getting married outdoors, try to avoid a mid-day ceremony where the sun is beaming down from above. Sweat, harsh shadows, & squinting - let's avoid all that. Golden hour is your best friend & it's natures way of airbrushing you.

If you're getting married indoors, try to use as much natural light as possible. That will ensure that your images are crystal clear since I never use flash during a ceremony. Make sure to ask your venue about any photography restrictions prior to booking!

wedding day-of coordinator is a MUST HAVE for any wedding with a formal procession & day-of timeline. Even though photography influences the entire schedule, there are so many moving parts that I cannot direct. A professional wedding day-of coordinator or someone who isn't immediate family will greatly help the flow of events so that you can stay in the moment!

FAMILY PORTRAITS

Every single family is unique in their own way! I will work with you to come up with your own timeline of portraits that can take place either before or after the ceremony. These photos can be done immediately following the ceremony inside the venue with flash, or outside the venue at a close by central location.

THE RECEPTION

My goal is to use flash as little as possible. Sure, it works when it's absolutely needed, but it's my feeling that flash takes away from the ambience of a room. I want your photos to honestly represent how that moment looked through your eyes and how it felt to be there. They key to this is using only the light that is naturally available.

This is where you can help me! Make Italian String Lights (sometimes called Bistro Lights) your best friend. Candles too. Light your room up with a warm, natural glow - the more the better!

Please let me know what kind of music you plan on having because bands or DJ's sometimes bring their own lighting equipment (disco balls, colorful dance floor lights, etc.) This will help me prepare my lighting equipment based on your preferences.

No matter what happens, your wedding day is about you, your fiancé, & your guests. It's about celebrating your love and commitment to each other and maybe throwing one heck of a party. Don't be afraid to kick your shoes off, switch it up, break some traditions & create new ones. I can't wait to capture it all for you! You can expect to receive ALL of your images within 8-12 weeks after your wedding date.
